The Longest Night approaches

I do trust that such a competent group as represented here has already begun making preperations for this year's Longest night? Myself i have already been busy being carted around to visit old friends and renewing what protections they may have. As a side note - if any of you find yourself in a strange city seeking a place to escape that which you hunt - check the local asian district and be thankfull for the "superstition" of the immigrants there - in particular look for buildings that have pieces of paper attatched to the doorjambs or support posts with 1-5 characters inked on them

Shoot, I don't need someone tellin me bout the longest night of th year. Im right now in some backwater Hell dimension tryin to resuce my town's folk, save my niece and a bunch of kids meant for sacrifce and stop an invasion of earth by The Ancients. So as you can see Im a bit cranky...

Man I could go for a cold one right now.

Well any hows, you folks keep fightin the good fight. Me and the boys are taking care of business up here, so you flolks rest easy. If we screw up, heck, suppose death ain't to bad...er, forget I said that

Well, not me personally, atleast not in the way you mean.
I have my own rites to perform but that'a another LOOOOOONG(and very private) story.

I do, however, have a number of friends who belong to this fraternal liek orginization calle dthe order of seekings or something. Anyway, they clal themselves seekers or something ofter act very serious about the occult when they get together.
Anyway, when I happend to mention some "cults of the Night"that I 'had stumbled upon and some of their plans I had happend to chance upon, they got very exited(apparantly the cultist had some sort of ong range plan using a numberof rituals performed aroudnteh world).
So anywhoo, they boys got this idea of sabotaging the cult's plans with rituals of their own.
So THEY will be doing a lot of things during Winter Solstice.

Seems like that night is going to be a night of many rituals. Wonder if the world will hold together with all the magic coursing through it that night...

Ah, well. I doubt it will quite go that far.

I going to be home trying to get as much sleep as possible. I am hoping with the increased dragon line activity I will be able to get a better dream vision of what I am dealing with. But I will have my holy symbol, sword and gun nearby my bed.

Were I closer, hollister i would offer what little aid my blades may provide. I will however send the blessings of the kami. if you see a red fox with a silver blaze and silver tailtip please do not shoot. he is a loyal friend and may be able to help you find what you seek as the kitsune see things differently than we do and are not so limited in their movement as we are. i hope he is as much help to you as he has been to me. the best way to get his help is to make it a game of "hide and seek" for him - kitsune are well known for thier childlike ways.

I intend on not getting much sleep on the 21st - for a variety of reasons.

My self i shall be useing the long night to cleanse my temple, body, and spirit with a ritual to commune with my ancestors and to attempt to determine if i take a more active role in the events that i have found myself in.

What are your plans for this year?

We got eyes on a couple of arcanists.
And by a couple I just mean more than one; I can't really say how many.

If I have to work another 12+ hour day like I did today, I'll be spending it crashed out on the couch...and woe be any asswipes who dare to disturb that slumber by trying to destroy the world...or whatever...

Should be fun filled action.

I don't know about fun. But definitely going to be something.

You just have the wrong definition of fun ;)

No rest for the righteous KT.

Or the wicked.

Not to state the obvious or anything. :)

The wicked do rest - which is one of the few ways we do catch up with them.

I see your point, yea.

A lot of evil comes from sheer laziness - the need to quickly and easily attain ones desires rather than truely earning them.

That's why so many of our foes happen to be practitioners of magic.

Not to cast aspersions on present company.

Define foe, GhostSpider.

Perhaps it's changed recently?

See second line of my previous post, should have explained everything.

That second line was about mages.

You're being suspiciously squirrelly.

Our reactions to his evasiveness might.

Stop acting like you've got something to hide if you want us to beleive you GS.

Your reading insults and threats where there are none.

By our foes, I meant enemies of the society.

Well now's not the time for giving us any possible misinterpretations GS.

Why don't you take any of this seriously, GS?
You're very nonchalant about it all.
