Black Helicopters

I've never gotten a good look at one to determine the model of aircraft they have no running lights and my night-vision equipment is all but ineffective at the ranges the helicopters were at. But they were obviously heading either towards population centers or other areas that weren't typical for military exercises. I highly doubt they were civilian helicopters due to their low altitude and the speed i calculated them to be travelling at. Any ideas of who these helicopters belong to or what they are up to?

In this day and age, they probably belong to whoever can afford them. Hell, some companies make more revenue than some countries...

Unmarked helicopters are used by a variety of organizations (governmental, private, and otherwise) for a variety of purposes. Some of them beneficial, some not, and others are just plain unclear. I recommend giving them a wide berth in any case.
