Maybe Kalim was doing his own hunting while Turtle out?

Who is Kalim?

Post by Eilonwy Solstice »

I recall Bert mentioning him.

Who is this “Kalim”? And why do I get an eerie feeling just saying the name?

Trust me Eilonwy Solstice, you're better off not knowing.

Hi All,

I'm kinda worried about how long it's been since we heard from Bert too.

He was good at settlin' the sorta arguments that we've been havin' 'round here lately.

Hannah

PS: If Bert couldn't settle it, he coulda just sicked the Gentleman on 'em.

She's right you know...

Did anyone have any clues about where he may have gone? It's been long enough I think it may justify looking into his condition - he's always been pretty dependably bound to these boards...

I agree, a search into his wherabouts should be made top priority.

He was working at the school where Hannah goes to try and uncover what was going on, when things settled out he decided to look into other things.

Usual paranoia, didn't tell me where he was going.

Hi Everyone,

Speakin' of people not in contact, Wie's been out of touch for a while. She went on a trip and promised ta call or email ever day and it's been two days without her bein' in touch so far.

Anyone know where she's at?

Hannah

PS: It was great having Bert in tha school, but I really don't need people watchin' me like that.

I'm posting from a truck stop with WiFi a ways south of Tulsa.

Wie's checked in and found Bert.

They are in a hospital in LA.

Wie was a little sketchy on the details, but apparently it happened at some kind of haunted house in the LA area that Bert owns.

Haunted House or Haunted Super-Fortified Bunker located ten miles underneath LA?

I would find the second one more likely.

Both Bert and Wie are definitely the worse for wear - but they will recover. Wie will be out of the hospital in a couple of days.

Bert's lucky on that score . . . when I found out he caused most of Wie's injuries I almost throttled him right there. He's also lucky he wasn't in his right head when he did it - otherwise I would still want to throttle him.

I'll let Bert and Wie explain how they got to this point - it's a little convoluted.

You've passed me already. Sorry, I've been working both on the job and on the leads from my friend. Let me know if you got to the canyon on your way back or if you need a place to stay. Or if you just need dinner. I'd love to actually meet some more Society members.

UPDATE: Oops I see that Hannah's gone missing. I'm so sorry I didn't realise that when I was making my offer. I don't know what I can do, but if it involves the Spirit World, there's things I may be able to help you with. You can call me any time. I'll send you my contact info, Ron.

Well, the thing that took her is basically a nightmare brought to life . . . do you have any ability to scope out those sorts of creatures?

In life my friend was much more courageous, but now that he's dead, it's a different story. I've been all over the ethereal and if it involves finding a lost daughter, you can be damn sure I'm gonna go whether he thinks it's a good idea or not. On the physical plane, no, I'm not going to track this monster; in the ethereal, regardless of flavor, I'll be of more help.
