So what prompted you to take the name Dorian Gray? You're not hiding a painting somewhere, are you?

That's kinda what I was wondering, KT.

I always have a hard time coming up with new names as I change them every generation to avoid being tracked quite so easily and I was lucky enough to come upon an updated version of Oscar Wilde’s book, which I had nearly forgotten about since I first read it some time ago in my youth so the name was merely taking from there.
Though sometimes I wish I did have the painting it would be, I believe, rather interesting to see what I should look like after all this time.

No you don't Dorian...in that story as soon as the guy looks at the paintin' of himself the spell is broken, the magic dispelled, and begins to age and then die as the paintin' looks like new again.
Hey, I do read too ya know.

Seems I have a different version of the story than you do Hollister.
In mine he was able to look at the picture with no real problems, even showing it to his friend who had painted it for him, it was only when he tried to destroy the painting that the spell was broken and that he died.

He could look at it without issues, but hid it because his sins and aimlents went to the picture, showing the disease that his deal with the devil hid.
When it was damaged, the deal ended, the inflictions moving back to Dorian Grey all at once, and the picture returning to show the youth he once was.

Hello there Lazlo Society.
My name is Alexander (Sasha for short) Duhov. I speak Russian fluently (thanks father) and English fluently (thanks mother). I also speak shotgun, katana, and a few other "languages".
I served in airborne (VDV) with Kolya. Later he recruited me on his Alfa team - Alfa is sort of like America's Delta or Seal teams.
And as it turns out, I was a natural fit on his team in Special Group B where we serve now.
So we have known each other for a long time.
It is almost guaranteed to be a party when me and the supernatural come in close proximity of each other. I may post some in War Stories (as time permits, of course).

Welcome aboard Sasha!
Glad you finally joined us here. Kolya has told us a little bit about you and your "special eyeballs", I think that's how he put it.
Just realized

Just realized that I never got around to posting here.
I am Erik Dreyson, better known as DarKnyht on the boards. I am currently working as a freelance computer specialist for a couple of firms. Those who have read my previous posts have a general idea of my talents, and I hope to stay alive long enough to gain full control of them one day.

Thanks for the welcome Bert. "Special eyeballs" is definitely something Kolya would say. They are real handy for identifying etheral beings, possession, witches and their familiars, and a few other of the supernasties. Same-ol-time-ously, my aura allows them to know that I know. Thus, when we meet, it's on.

Welcome to the Boards. I haven't been able to reliably check them of late. Damn connection problems, but it's good to see another fresh face, especially one that hangs out with Koyla.

Thanks for the welcome Razor.
Kolya is a great guy. Definitely I agree, but sometimes he is difficult. If he gets outta hand any, just drop a dime, and I will kick some sense into this thick skull. I can do that without him killing me.

I'll be sure to take you up on your offer, if I ever need Koyla kicked, that is.

Hello. I've posted a few times already. I suppose it's time to introduce myself.
I'm Bill Runion. I've lived here in PA all my life.
I was in the boyscouts when I was younger, then joined Army ROTC in highschool. I was dismissed from that when I injured my back during training.
After I graduated I went to the Joe Kubert school in New Jersey. I was studying graphic arts and illustration. After my dad passed away I decided to move back home to help my mom out.
I recently bought a house out in the country. It's a little rough around the edges, a real fixer upper. It's near a farm owned by an old family friend. I work for him during the day. He's taught me alot about living a simpler life, close to the land.
In the evenings I hang out with my two dogs and work on my art. I've done some magazine and book covers here and there. Not enough to pay the bills yet, but maybe someday.
I see UFOs. On a regular basis. There I said it.
I've tried to take pictures but they all turn out fuzzy.
And I've had episodes of lost time since I was about twelve years old.
I think I've been abducted from my house. I don't have any vivd memories, it's just a feeling.
It's hard to talk about.
Most of what I know about the paranormal is from the same sources everyone else has access to.
But I have another source. Someone I met at a military air show. He seems to have inside information on some really wild stuff.
From the things he's told me, and other stuff I've learned, I've pieced together this theory. Yes, a conspiracy theory.
Plots woven together involving the governments of several nations working with "outsiders". I call it the Grand Scheme.
More on that later. I've rambled enough.

Hey, Bill. Sorry I haven't gotten to too many of your theories, yet; as you can see, we've had our hands pretty much full for a while, now.
Welcome to the group.

Hi Bill. Welcome to the Society.
You are on to something there. At least, I think I know what you are talking about. If it is the same thing, then, I know you understand this, be very careful with what you are dealing with. When I get some free time, we should talk. I have some information that I hope you will find valuable.
You arrived at a time pretty much everyone of us has our hands full with 'projects'. But we always do what we can for each other.

Bill, it would be interesting to compare notes. My last teacher was a member of Naval Special Projects, and was their most powerful weapon's grade psychic and Remote Viewer. He imparted a lot good information, especially about the Roswell Greys. I've also found out some stuff about the Lizzies too. You should know what I'm talking about.

Since things are at a bit of a lull right now, I guess a full introduction is in order.
I am Detective Amy McAlister, of the Legacy Detective Agency...formed in honor and memory of our friend Jacob Bloodbane. Our agency is--or, hopefully, will be, very soon--dedicated to both standard private investigation procedures and paranormal investigations.
I hope our agency will be able to offer whatever aid we have at its disposal, and I hope we can count on help from Lazlo, as well.
We seem to be off to a bumpy start with this whole Khavik business...but hopefully, from here on we can be of more of a help than a hindrance.

Hey-o. This is Mitch. I'm getting kidna used to posting here. yay!
So like I'm the computer monkey, because monkeys are cool and stuff. ... I dunno. I guess I'm beter at working on in and with comps than I am at making jokes. Whee I suck!
***
Yo. Call me Shade. I'm the "paranormal" arm of the agency... That's all you guys need to know, really. The only more specific I'm getting is that I can offer medical assistance to anyone who needs it.
***

Amy again. Just wanted to wrap this post up by saying...well... To Ron, we're sorry for having suspected you. I hope we can be more help to you in the future than we were this past week. And to everyone else...greetings, salutations, and as your friend "KT" would say, may our paths cross favorably.

Hello young ones. It enlightens my soul to see those who I once was, seeking to purge this world of the unnatural horrors that stalk its shadows.
But with the energy of youth, come the rash descisions, the emotional choices, and the errors of judgement that coenside with the very word.
As to who I am, you may read of my origins under your "War Stories" forum. I will say no more on the subject. If you seek my aid or my wisdom, I will provide it.
Good look fledglings, and may you be in Heaven an hour before the Devil knows that you are dead.

Where is etiquette; I am known as Azrael Nocturne, as many of you, a psuedomym by which I hunt by.

I wonder if I created another word.

I can tell you're three dimensonal
.
But yeah, my methods are pretty simple: Hunt Bad Guys. Kill Bad Guys. rinse. repeat as often as desired.
doesn't take a rovket scientist to do that. And I ain't no rocket scientist.

Bert may actually be 5 dimensional. We are not sure about him yet.
I think none of us here are rocket scientists.
