Mya, it is joke.

Once upon a time, people would spend months of salary for one pair of blue jeans. Before my time, though. Kolya probably recalls... ;)

Aha! Alright. Oddly enough, Bluejeans were initially made form Tent Canvas for Miners because they were forever tearing and ruining their pants in the mines. When did the working man's pants become designer fashion? Life is wierd.

Hi Bert...

Stop feelin' up that Russian woman and listen up. You are to bring me back at least one Russian AK-47 7.62MM round before you get home. Or I will rat your horn doggin' - skirt chasin' self to Del Caine.

Carry on...

 She's how old! Oh Bert that's just wrong..

So, I'm staying with this nice, if odd, old woman in her large apartment.

The rooms are huge but she just keeps walking the same narrow path around here. The place needs a good cleaning too, and its mostly empty except for some cheap furniture.

The food so far has been good. And the apartment was Bug Free. (I'm seriously wondering if my Bug Detector is working at this point. I'm almost disappointed.)

So, when she hasn't been stuffing me full of food I've been fixing odds and ends and doing some light cleaning here and there.

I really wish I spoke Russian.

Things have been pretty quiet here. We don't speak the same language so talking is moot. I hope she picks up on my appreciation of her kindnes, they say actions speak louder than words anyway.

With any luck things will stay quiet until we get back.

Natasha is coming by with some clothes. Do not mind the XXXL size; here that is about the same as XL in the States ;)

If things do not stay quiet, however, try not to wander too far. Security forces are very trigger happy still after the terror acts a while back.

I hope the clothes fit Bert. It is early evening here in Nalchik and I am hungry. In your pocket is some currency...

I go talk to the old lady for a bit.

They fit very well. Thank you Natasha. :D

So, any idea when it'll be safe for me to make it to the embassy?

And if you're suggesting I take you out to dinner, it sounds good to me.

Only Half!? Are you kidding? I'll be lynched as soon as I step foot back on American soil (that isn't an embassy).

I dunno, depends if the Mariens see her drop you off . . .

I figure about half because of those here who are already committed or are not interested in women.
