Hi Shang,

It is great exercise and it's during the day when most people aren't home and we don't do anything but cut across their yards. There shouldn't be any harm in that.

Besides, its not like we're there long.

Hannah

PS: Dating? Ethan, I'm only 15, I'm not dating anyone. I'm just having fun with a couple of friends.

Hi Gang,

Sorry for the wait on this, but it’s been a busy few days, with Wie’s nightmare and Dad coming back and grounding me for running across people’s roofs and all that.

You remember that kid I was telling you about, K-Mann, the one who dropped the cherry bomb in the toilet and got me covered in ick?

Well I ran into him on Wednesday . . . or rather he was waiting for me when I got out of the girls room.

“Hey there, Hick.” Everyone called me that so much I stopped trying to fight it and just let them.

“What do you want?” I replied as icily as I could.

He grinned at me. “I just wanted to apologize for getting you covered with goo . . . I felt so bad about it, I even drew a picture for you.” He thrust a folded piece of paper at me.

I was caught off guard, K-Mann had a reputation as a joker and a jerk, but I never expected him to try to make nice. “Uhhh . . . thanks.” I took the picture and unfolded it.

It was a good resemblance of me, at least the headshot he’d traced out of the year book.

Below the neck however . . .

My shirt and skirt were in tattered shreds; exposing every inch of me I’d rather be private. Slimy tentacles held my arms and legs at awkward angles, other tentacles . . .

Well I won’t describe what they were doing . . . but I’ll just say it was something I didn’t like.

Not at all.

“Do you like it?” K-Mann was grinning ear to ear.

I remembered something my mother told me about saying something nice or nothing at all. “It’s . . . creative. Sick, disgusting, perverted and disturbed, but creative.”

“I’m glad you like it.”

“Can I keep it?” I didn’t want this thing where anybody could see it.

His grin was so big I thought his head would split in half.

“Sure. I posted copies in all the boy’s rooms anyway.”

I think my heart stopped.

K-Mann cackled at me and opened the door to the boy’s room. “Now if you excuse me, I’m going to go and sign the original.” He rubbed his crotch a few times then pulled the door shut behind him.

I’ll admit that I was rather un-lady like yelling and cursing him through the door, trying to pull it open so I could go in there and slap him senseless, but he was big enough and strong enough to hold it shut until I was out of breath.

Fists clenched, throat raw and eyes tearing, I went back to class.

Hannah

PS: If I’d known that was the last time anyone would have seen him alive, I would have been nicer to him.

So he's dead? :?

Oh, Hannah, it was nice to meet you and Ellie at the BBQ. :D

Hi Ghost,

It was good to meet you there too.

Yes he's dead. When Peter showed up to run home with me, I had him go around and take down all the pictures he could find.

When he went to the room where K-Mann went, he found him dead, on the toilet . . . halfway through . . . let's just say he wasn't finished signing his work.

Hannah.

PS: There's a rumour going around school today that when they did an autopsy on him, they didn't find anything.

I really mean anything. No heart no lungs no liver . . . no organs at all.

So, he was hollowed out?

Like something was in him?

Hi Ghost,

That's the rumour. Peter said he looked fine when he found him, other than being a little slumped to the side he was exactly as he would have been in the middle of . . .

I really should not think about that.

Hannah

PS: Yes, I ripped up all the pictures I could find.

Well that's gross in a disgusting kind of way.

Did the autopsy reports have anything else unusual?

Hi Ghost,

I don't know, this is all rumour.

Isn't natural orifice translumenal endoscopic surgery weird enough?

Caliburn, is there a chance you could get a copy of the coroner's report? I'll be too busy to actually act on it, but it would help if we learned how the organs were removed.

I'll see what I can do, a number of my local contacts in police and government have recently retired, resigned or gone on leave.

Why did they do that?

Could be coincidence, but it could someone tightening the noose. Stay safe.

Too many in too short a time for coincidence.

Most of them won't even talk to me anymore.

Hi everyone.

At summer school today we had another incident. I had to talk to the police about it and everything.

I was in the same washroom I'd gotten coated with ick in, when Jessica comes in.

Jessica goes to the bathroom a lot, she throws up after almost every meal.

Some people say she's got an eating disorder, other people say it's 'cause she's pregnant.

I think it's just because the cafeteria food here is terrible.

Anyway, she charges into the stall next to me and drops to her knees in front of the toilet and begins her usual afternoon regurgitation.

"You doing okay Jess?" I called to her through the stall.

Gagging noises then "Yeah . . . just a little stomach trouble." Then she resumed expelling.

"Okay, let me know if you need help." I finished my buisness and went to wash my hands as Jess continued to gag over the toilet.

Then I heard the splash.

I know, there was a lot of splashing with her there, but this was a different splash. It also was followed by no more gagging, no more choking, no sound at all.

"You still okay?"

No answer.

"Jess?" I knocked on the stall.

Still no answer.

I pushed open the stall door.

Jess's head was in the toilet - all the way in.

I reached down and grabbed hold of her and pulled her face out of the puke water. For a momment I thougth I saw something moving in the bowl, but I had other things to take care of.

Jess wasn't breathing.

I remembered what I'd been taught on the compound and proceeded to start working mouth to mouth and chest compressions until the Paramedics got there.

It didn't help.

The paramedics pronounced her dead when they got there.

Hannah

PS: The EMTs and the Principal and everybody were thanking me for trying to save her, but I don't think I did anything worth it. She still died.

Any suggestions other than I stake out one of the toilets or take a community college course in plumbing?

Update, I got some stuff from the ME's office.

I miss the days when I could walk into the ME's office, shoot the breeze and take a look at what I needed, now I had to pay out to get 5 minutes with a file "accidently" left on the counter while someone was in the can.

It looks like the rumour was true, the kid was indeed hollowed out. Not a single internal organ between his throat and his rear end was in there.

There's a lot more in the report I don't understand, perhaps one of you medically talented individuals can give it a look for me.

Hmm, two students dead after having an antagonistic relationship with Miss Hannah. Both in the same building, both while Miss Hannah was nearby.

Has anyone checked on the history of the building? Old places often have many residents who should have moved on. Perhaps a spirit that also had a grievance with the deceased.

Has anyone checked to see if perhaps Miss Hannah has an over zealous protector? Maybe the one that has caused so much trouble already?

Has anyone looked into the background of the masters and teachers at the school? Perhaps one of them has decided to use the dark arts to dicipline some of the more problematic students?

Miss Hannah, do you know if the two dead students had any form connection or relationship?

Ron checked every possible angle . . .

Ron checked every possible angle for each potential school Hannah could be enrolled in. If there was a possibility that one of the teachers had less than a savory past, I doubt he would have okayed Hannah going there.

I don't know of any of the possibilities you're referirng to and we did have the Legacy folks comb the school while we were tyring to figure out what was going on in the school last fall and they found no solid leads.

The connection I am noticing appears to be deaths in the washrooms.

This is troublesome... In the old days, I would've come up there, myself, with all my equipment, and asked for half an hour in the restroom, undisturbed...

The fact that both deaths happened around Hannah is even more troubling.

I would say that the cherry bomb woke something up, if I had to guess.

Hi Everyone

I wasn't having any sort of disagreement with Jess. She's not my friend or anything like that, but I don't dislike her either.

Kevin, I did kinda yell at him and threaten to hurt him, but I didn't want that to happen.

Hannah

PS: Also, what about Christine? She never got her guts ripped out and she made me madder than anyone at the school.

Hi Ghost,

Christine hasn't gone to my school since she started having nightmares about me.

Hannah

PS: It's really hard to get through an entire day at school without using the bathroom.

Why would Christine have nightmares?
