I think the point where America jumped the shark so to speak was when the courts ruled that Corporations had the same rights as people. The problem is they are people with a shit-load of money and legal teams that have abused the hell out of our legal system.

As for parties, I think they are both paid by corporations and suck. Unfortunately, the independent ones rarely get into office and when they do they quickly are bought out also. To me the two party system just sucks.

But that is my two cents, and to be honest there are worse places to live (Venezuela comes to mind).

Very much indeed... Though, in my most humblest of opinions, a lot of the third parties aren't much better than the first two...

And you're right, there are worse places in the world to live. Right now, the Middle East makes all of our political problems look small and petty in comparison.

At least our government isn't pushing the UN to drive all Canadians out of America... We don't have our neighbors bombing churches, and we aren't shelling our neighbors' schools...

We still have a lot of problems to clean up, and we are having problems with an increase in intolerance, but there're still far worse places to be...

Had to fight a critter with a pitchfork once - made me see why a class of military weapons evolved from farm tools.

The Sword was the first weapon that had not started as a tool of some sort.

Actually Bert it started as a tool - a knife or a scickle like tool - it just got bigger and more purpose built.

For me, the sword is still a useful tool.

Sorry Karlash.

Very useful little things . . . my Blade i in many ways patterned off a Roman Gladius - though the body is a composit amterial and I can remove and repalce the edges allowing me to change up steel, iron, silver, wood, as I need.

Well let's see if I can map it out.

Boraz the vampire killed her and turned her into a vampire.

I killed Boraz which freed her from his control and she set out on a quest to regain her humanity by fighting evil.

One of her brood mates and a living dream fragment with a grudge agaisnt me decide to get together and see if they can take us both out and provoke us into a duel to the death - which we both walked away from.

I get a good lead on her brood mate, invite her to come take him out and we get ambushed. End result is I have to stake her and watch the sun destroy her.

She appears in my dreams and helps me deal with the livng dream fragment.

I pull her out of my dreams and bring her back into the real world, human, with a new identity.

That about sums it up.
