I would prefer not to moan and get something done instead. Is there anything that you or your family needs, Robin? And I’m getting a funny feeling about James, too. Keep an eye on him.

well, unless I've missed my guess here on the creepy feelings and facial bruises, Stinky the Bug is back...

so far I've shot it, stabbed it, blown up a shack full of explosives around it, and crashed a truck into it... if none of those things killed it, I'm running out of ideas outside of groaning.

Maybe they're different bugs...?

Robin, as I said, if you need help give me a holler. Also, I am not too far from KT so if you want mystical/druidic help along with my physical help, let me know.

Have you considered a can of Raid?

I'm sure there were a few somewhere in Carl's unibomber shed.

any help would be appreciated, particularly with Stinky or my apparently undead sister... this shadow agency that knows where to find my girl still rates the lion's share of my attention for the moment.

now if you'll excuse me, I've got a roadtrip ahead of me tracking the slime trail these goons left back to its source. hopefully I'll have a steady connection and a charged laptop (keep getting myself either one or the other) before I get there... the way things look now, I don't think I can take this whole agency down on my own.

What? It's a giant bug, makes sense that bug spray might have an effect on it.

It does make sense, and it couldn't hurt to try.

Yeah it could.

"Stay back! I've got RAID!"

*Has his hand devoured can and all*

"I SAID STAY BACK!"

That is why you set a booby trap using the Bugspray, that way you can see if it has an effect without putting yourself at too much risk. :P

You don't tell the monster to stay back - you just kill it.

personally, I was thinking something more along the lines of somehow tricking it into going into a house that's been tented...

or maybe dive bombing it with a crop-duster, if we can get it out in the open long enough...

I mean, if we're going to use insecticide, we should really use the good stuff, you know?

Though that second plan would require getting someone who actually knows how to fly a plane... all I could do is tell you what keeps it up in the air.

How big is this thing we're talking about?

Posted: Thu Jul 05, 2007 12:48 pm
by BraveSirRobin
significantly taller than me, but still capable of fitting in most hallways...

so, probably about seven feet tall.

Could work, but would attract a lot of attention. Also Bert exactly how hard do you think it would be to Rig up a few cans of Bug Spray to fill an area with what could be a toxic level in short order? I can think of a few ways it could be done, and Robin would be out of reach of the thing, but still be able to see if it had an effect.
That way Robin will know if it is a viable means for dealing with the critter or not without putting himself at too much risk. Oh and if it isin't poisened maybe, Robin could set up something to generate a spark and try torching the bug. Reminder Most bug spray is Highly Flamible. Bug Flambay anyone?

Well... a gas mask is pretty much required for dealing with this thing anyway... it takes more than a simply unpleasant smell for me to dub a nasty Stinky. Think "oh, wow, nothing's ever smelled so bad it made me vomit before," followed by lots of dry heaves.

So not getting close while the bug spray goes off shouldn't be that much of an issue.

Those bug bombs professionals use can fill up a room pretty damn quick.

I bet we could build a contraption that'll turn on a bunch of 'em simultaneously at the push of a button.

Great minds, Ron... I was thinking bug bombs as I was reading this thread, then saw you'd already suggested 'em. =P

Bert, if you can rig explosives and gas grenades to do it, I'm sure you'll figure out the bug bombs, too. Just wait to stop and work on it until we've figured out how to deal with your assassin...

I’m wondering about that, Josh. Bert, does Mr. Sheldon seem capable of stopping at nothing to get you if he continues to fail? What if he were offered a chance to kill you? Mr. Sheldon, are you going after Bert solely because of the contract? Would you quit if that contract could be broken?

I think he's rather indifferent to the whole thing one way or another.

Doens't have the courage to stand up for what he beleives in anymore.

Eilonwy, last time I even thought serious about saying who my client is, both eyes swelled shut and my tongue swelled up so bad it was hard to breathe for a couple days.

I have to say "I will neither take, nor encourage any harmfull action be taken agains my client for the terms of my employ, and a time period of not less than forty-eight hours."

While I can not not request, nor do I encourage such a thing Eilonwy, it damn sure wouldn't break my heart.

Enjoying my hunt? No this is work, now after this is done, then I am going to enjoy a hunt, cape water buffalo in south africa.
