“Echo Sierra.” I like it . . . but . . . how am I going to use it? If I’m ever in the field again . . . it would be nice to know if the countersign used on me was the correct one, you know. Is there anyway we can incorporate morse code? Or braille?

So long as the letters are correctly used, I don't see why they couldn't be sent by any means including semifor, fireworks, or smoke signals.

Hi All,

Don't Braille mean we'd have ta get awfully close ta one another - dangerous if there is a monster loose.

But I like the morse code idea.

Hannah

PS: Or one of us could make sure ta hang out with Eilonwy - I volunteer.

There'd be a line of volunteers around the block to hang out with her :)

Actually, Bert . . . it would have to somehow be sound-based. Fireworks might work, but . . . everything else wouldn’t work for me. But the problem would be the possibility of alerting any supernatural evil nearby.

That is a fine offer Hannah, but soon you are going to have to start going to school and such. So you won't be able to be there all of the time.
But Rose and I have a thought on a method that could allow Eilonwy to see.
Rose will be running it by her soon.

Well we need to find out just what you are capable of these days Eilonwy, if you are able to use telempathy? We are halfway there.

Well, yeah, any method used with you would need to be based on some other sense. For all I know we could come up with a smell based system and let you know its us with a blast of Lemon and New Car Smell.

I meant, who cares what method is used so long as it gets the message across?

Couldn't we just... say... the words?

Sometimes we do?

Well on our team we do anyway.

Damn, I was gonna ask for a KT or JS signal this month, on account of my birthday was yesterday. XD

Ah, well, this one's a good one, too.

I'll second Robin's motion to speak aloud, especially when around Eilonwy...

As long as the letters are understandable, yeah.

I don’t know . . . it kind of defeats the purpose of a “secret handshake,” doesn’t it? Although that would be fine by me.

Verbalizing the code is not that unreasonable particularly in casual situations.
Fact is it is standard part of fieldcraft for Special Operation teams world wide.

we could start using... I don't know... quotes from Worlds Between Worlds?

I mean, if you really WANT to do massive amounts of memorization to be more secretive, that is.

Why would we have to memorize everything?
