A friend of mine RV'd around Europe, in the 70s I guess. I hope I get to do it in America before I retire....

They seemed fine to me.

Though overnight someone set a net trap next to them.

Made it a little tricky to navigate to the bathroom this morning Bert.

That trap is remote controlled. I didn't setup a trigger on it where you could blunder into it.

Yeah . . . doesn't mean I didn't notice it as I went by . . .

Nothing like trying to figure out if you have a security breach to get the pulse going in the morning.

Yeah, I had a similar incident this morning. Most days my room is pitch black. so I walk into the bathroom, and there's this glow coming from a circle in the ceiling. I immediately go 'oh shit!' cuz it's placement was perfect for a mine or explosive device. But just as quickly I realized the attic lights were on, and it was just light from that filtering through the fixture.

I like my job. Usually. Mostly. There are some days, that I normally don't like to talk about, when I don't like my job. There're even a few days where I downright hate it.

Today was one of those days... Snowstorm, windchills in the single-digits and negatives, snow knee-deep in places... Today downright sucked. I *so* would've much rather been braving the snowstorms and blizzards between here and Ron's place...

Started at 8:30 in the morning... Ended at 8:30 at night. Didn't finish; got stuff that needs to go back out tomorrow... First time I've ever not finished my work.

And lemme tell ya, when your legs are already weighted down by two pairs of socks, leather steel-toed boots, thermals, jeans, and slacks...wetting down all those layers and wading through snow up to your knees isn't exactly easy...

Take it easy, and have a good Valentien's day with your lady.

We'll take care of things down here for now.

Well, I -did- mention several times that I've been studying for a while. Though I have to admit I've been pissing my Runes off for the last few months cuz I haven't been using them. I've had no concerns, and nothing to ask about. Really once I started studying everything kinda just fell into place.

Yeah, I remembered you mentioning that...

Really? My runes seem happiest when I'm not bothering them. I think they're of the opinion that we need to be able to live our own lives, without relying too heavily on divinational tools... How long have you had your runes?

Ron: Thanks. Dunno about taking it easy, but will try to have a good V-day with my ladywife.

About 8 months, but I've worked with Runes off and on the last few years. These like attention, but they don't often like to give out information, or than what people need to do to improve their fucked up lives. lol

Even then they like to be cryptic sometimes. Thats okay though. Some days they will work great. I just have kinda get their approval to do a reading for somebody at times. ... Definately female personality. :P

I may be of Scottish descent, but I still can't understand how anyone can stand golf...

As for my runes...I wouldn't call them a "hobby", Ron. Every third symbol in the ward around your home is one of those same runes. And on top of that, I only touch my runes occasionally; hardly often enough to call them a hobby.

Nah, you'd really chew me out if you knew my real hobbies... Video games, reading, sci-fi/fantasy...

Video games, reading sci-fi and fantasy, as well as writting it too.

I've only been to Panhandle Gunslingers once, but I remember damn near every detail. I will be taking some course work from them, and I will probably buy my next sidearm from them... or you Ron. I haven't decided.

yeah, I remember.

Ant to be honest, it has far from rotted my brain. It's always made me ask questions, and well.. when I want to know something I go looking. I guess it's kinda the same story with our line of work. Thanks to my inquisitive nature though, there is almost nothing that can escape me when I set out to find out about it.

I think this is a lesson a person or two on campus is going to find out about very shortly.

It also fills folks with ideas like aliens are firendly, vampires are heroes and werewolves make good house pets.

Well, this is a multi-faceted issue. Different individuals are going to take different things away from the same media.

Actually the Roswell Greys are a bunch of mad scientists, effectively.

Well, I've just got some social/political ninja'ing going on. I'm going to remind them why I used to be Minister of Intelligence with a group I worked for.

Ron some of those games are maybe a good primer for some of the stuff we do, and most do not support the idea of good aliens, nice vampires or werewolves makeing good pets. Just what games were you playing?

I didn't play games as a child.

I had chores, bible school and combat training.

At the time I quite enjoyed it. All the tales of smiting mixed in with how we were to be God's chosen warriors . . .

But nowadays my stomach just churns
