A celebration

Post by Shang Li »

Young Hideoshi has arranged a party for myself and those who helped to heal me in NYC. I am offering an invite to any here who can enter the temple grounds. (I will admit i am looking forward to it, I have not seen the Master of that temple since he was young)

I know that to most of you tea is not the beverage of choice for a party, but I would be honored to start the celebration by serving tea to you all.

I would also love to show the healers on this board some of my tea recipies (they might find them usefull.

I'll be there for sure. Interestingly enough I've always liked tea, not coffee though; never developed a taste for it.

I would love to be there, but my "jailer" is not going to let me travel for a while. Have a very good time, I'll meet up with you later Shang. I definately want to sit and talk with you for good session of parables.

You're gonna have to send me one of those tea recipes, Li-san... Find out how much shipping would cost, and I'll Western Union you the money to ship me the ingredients, too.

As much as I very much want to go, I need to stay home and rest, at least until the pain stops enough for me to get off these meds enough to start casting some healing spells. Or unless someone wants to come help that process along. 0: )

Hey there KT, you know if your wife keeps doin' a Kathy Bates from Misery routine on you, your never gonna heal up. :P

Seriously though, since I gotta do a "tour" of goin' here and there, I can swing past, meet the Mrs., Molly can play with your kids, Duke can play with your dragons, we can make a family gathering thing out of it. I can even have Molly take a look and see about speedin' things along with your mends.

(And then I can get you out of that house and we can pay a visit to Shang). I know this great Italian place in NYC, the food is great.

I have no trouble entering temple grounds, so if the invite is extended to the terminally furry (little joke there), I would be proud to attend and honor those that assisted in your healing.

KonThaak - If you would like I can send you a nurse with one of our failures, a drug that was developed in hopes it would let us break into the trade (before I decided we don't need to be involved in that trade).

It has a few problems for it's original purpose. 1. it is not addictive. 2. it seemed to make no differance on the test subjects menatal facilities "hey man where's the fucking buzz?" was not an uncommon subject responce. 3. the salts that precipate in the liver from the drug prove fatal if dosage is not allowed to clear the blood every day or 2 (but so far no ill effects for short term usage) 4. the drug is naturaly unstable, with a very short shelf life at room temperature.

Hope you are skipping the party because I was thinking of attending. I know your preference to not be near those that are non-human.

I understand Mr. Caliburn. If you change your mind go ahead and drop in, there should be someone there that recognizes you that can verify your invitation.

I look forward to discussing your dreams in person.

Thank you.

Now I need to attend to some buisness.

I haven't gone out to do what I do best in a loooong time.

Depends on when the party's gonna go down. If I'm healed enough to go to a party, I need to get back to work. We need the money far too badly for me not to work; and considering that this "accident" didn't happen on the job, UPS isn't obligated to pay a thing.

I think in the morning, I'm gonna try and weather the pain enough to cast some healing spells on myself. These pain-killers are great and all, but I can't stand how being drugged stops my magic cold...

I can barely hear Cubrious' and Claw's voices...

I'd really love to visit NYC, but I'm still stuck here, unless somebody can get me a plane ticket for next weekend?

I can offer to pick you up, its not a standard form of transportation, but its very quick. As long as your aren't too claustrophobic. :P
The route I am going to be taking will require you to meet me in an open field, in a natural setting. Away from prying eyes may be best.

Hold up people, I know that were all anxious t meet & greet Master Li now that he's on the mends, but mayb we should get an exact time & place before we all just start showin' up unannounced like a bunch of trailer park in-laws.

Hideoshi has kindly volunteered to provide transport. Helicopters for most, a lear for those on the other side of the rocky mountains. As for the time that is still being arranged - the locale is open to us on a 20 minute warning (some of the instructors remember me from my last trip.)

Edited to include the following.

Oh I forgot, the time is largely up to the guests. the event will be at night, for security and privacy reasons.

Hideoshi is almost as upset that I invited EVERYONE, as i am that he limited his invites to those that he saw directly help. (you have all helped me, if you know it or not)
