Re: The Ties That Bind
Hello friends, I have been away from the action for a little time. It would seem that my herbal remedies were dulling my sensitivities. I probably shouldn't have spent so much time in rasta music clubs following the Bermuda Triangle investigation. As luck would have it, I am coming into Portland tod...

Let's not jump to conclussions. Miss Clarity wrote that she saw a spirit she did not recognize. Even is the spirit did confirm its identity, it could have been lying. I myself have sabserved spirits deceive and confuse. No one saw a body.

Angel sightings are not as commonly reported in the East as they are in the West, but there is historical record od such things happening. Several varieties of divine beings appear int the Koran. I mention this because Middle Eastern history is my area of interest. What characteristics does this you...

Mephisto, my preparations are complete. I am bringing both translations of the sea journal. We can leave whenever you have assembled your team. Someone with navigational experience would also be helpful, but perhaps we were thinking of hiring a local for that task. Scotty, it will be good to see you...

Your story had me captivated. It resonated. I must admit that I am dealing with an unresolved monster as well, but mine does not fly. Perhaps I am missing something, either because I am new to this way or life or perhaps it is a cultural difference. What is a moth man and dym? Also, why would this c...

Re: Invasion of the Baby Snatchers
After reading the text message that Father John sent to me alerting me of the abductions, I scratched his chin for a while. I had started growing out a beard for religious reasons, and the stubble was well into the itchy phase. I leaned back in his chair and propped his feet onto his desk. Dust rose...

I admit, I had not noticed these patterns. Thank you for this enlightening analysis. I will attempt to provide any more data that I can. This string of kidnappings has stopped for the moment, but I fear that it could start again at any time due to the continuing activity of the creature responsible....

Invasion of the Baby Snatchers
I am new to this. I thought that I should clarify some of the events that occurred and were referenced in another thread. I believe that this forum is the proper place for such things. The events of my war story began several months in Ohio. I am Professor Ali, history professor. I will decline at t...

I have never encountered monsters being so blatant. In either personal experience nor in Middle Eastern lore, monsters try to hide their activities, almost obsessively so. Did you see any indications of other monsters who were tracking these ghuls, perhaps to quiet them? Then again, I am new to this...

Re: Thoughts on Christianity and the Supernatural
I find this thread and the linked articles near the top to be very interesting. As a man born and raised in an Islamic Asian country, I find it curious that such a conflict can even exist. The conflict assumes an all or nothing argument. I find this way of thinking to be very Western. I think that i...

Re: Nordak -- do you know this name?
I appreciate the assistance my new friends. Our priest friend has connections among knowledgeable people in a faith-based community. They in turn were able to dig up only this tiny shred of information about the offending fiend: They also have some scant information on Nordak himself. There are obsc...

Nordak -- do you know this name?
I require your assistance, my new friends. Information is what I require, not tactical assistance. I and my two comrades recently had a disturbing encounter with a creature who goes by the name "Nordak." I am not certain of the spelling as we have only heard this name spoken. We were inves...

When a witness mentions lights in the sky over Norway, I immediately think of the rainbow bridge to mythical Asgard. Are these lights creating a rainbow effect?

Re: Professor Ali offers his greetings
Eid al-Ghadeer is a feasting holiday, similar to American Thanksgiving, I suppose. It happens roughly the end of the first week of December. I think that this year it is December 8th. The holiday commemorates the last sermon delivered by the Prophet. Like Ramadan, some non-Islamics use it as an excu...

Re: Just a note
I can only speak about Islamic and Arabic mythology, but the description of this Not Dad did seem a little like a classical Ifrit. Ifrits are master shape-changers, but they prefer to inhabit abandoned buildings. Some ghouls can also appear as animals or people, but I know of no stories in which gho...

Thank you especially to my old friend, Scotty. If it were not for you, I would not have made it out of Asia alive. Will you be joining me to celebrate Eid al-Ghadeer this year?
Natasha, Joe and skeptic, you are welcome to us as well.

I would like to apologize Doctor Smith. I was not feeling well when I wrote that last post. No offense was intended. Recent events have been very troubling to me. It would seem that I allowed the stress of my situation to get the better of me. Losing a fight with a monster can have that effect, but ...

Thank you both for the advice. My SKS was something I was keeping mostly for sentimental value or possibly for home protection in a pinch.
