Re: South Bend, Indiana

I know exactly what it is...I'm still anchored a bit to the place--family lives up there. Perhaps I'm even using some of the same energy there myself. It's not all bad, evil...just "different." All the same, I don't plan on going back up there. It's been over two years now, and I'm fine j...

Re: Ohio Serpent Mound...do folks ever go there?

A Lazlo Society BBQ would be nice...I'll bring the weenies...you bring the terrors from beyond time and space. Peter, We used to do those in Maine for Memorial Day. Hannah. Which part...the weenies or the terrors from beyond time and space?? Cuz I'm very partial to sweet relish with my terrors from...

Ohio Serpent Mound...do folks ever go there?

I was wondering if there are any groups who go to the last place Victor Lazlo was seen?

Like for a meet and greet or BBQ.
It might be fun.

Re: Old German Warhammer needs IDing.

Oh the Luger shoots great...just pulls a bit low and to the left at further range. Up to 30 feet though it shoots spot on. It's just as likely that you're squeezing your grip as you pull the trigger, which is the most common cause for pistol shots going low and to the left. The number one factor in...

Re: Old German Warhammer needs IDing.

Sorry been forgetful and busy. My visit with Old Man Stanke didn't come to much. We met for lunch at McDonald's in Elyria, Ohio. From what he said my grandfather was part of a unit that worked it's way up to an old mountain top monastery (Monte Cassino). There was some truly brutal fighting and my g...

Re: Old German Warhammer needs IDing.

I know you said you did not find a makers mark on the hammer, and that in its self is strange. also the sliver plating. Tell me are there any Inscriptions at all? could be art work, or Runes. About how heavy is it. If you happen to be near any of the spell Arcanist such as my self. you might have o...

Re: Old German Warhammer needs IDing.

So far dead ends. I've gotten a few leads from the internet, but out of the 3 possible leads all thusfar have been deceased. I have 3 or 4 more names, but I'll have to try tomorrow. Off to work.

Oh btw I'm keeping the Luger. I got some bullets for it this afternoon.

Re: Old German Warhammer needs IDing.

I am digging a little deeper into my grampa's past. I found a list of some of his old warbuddies and a few very old (post war/state side) correspondences with some of his friends. One letter actually mentions the warhammer, as well as a fire and them chasing someone they nicknamed 'Frankenstein'. Mo...

Old German Warhammer needs IDing.

Anyone out there a medieval weapons expert? A few weeks ago my grandfather Albert died and while going through some of his stored effects I came upon a steamer trunk full of his WW2 stuff. Inside it were pictures, letters, his old uniform and other personal items. The two odd things in the trunk wer...

Re: Sorry about your luck

Khavik? It seems rather odd to just randomly bump into him the way you did. While I am no expert on this particular fiend, I think that he seems the type not to be seen unless he wants to be. And if he was setting you up to be hit by that car, why didn't he finish the job? Curious. It all couldn't ...

Re: The Gospel of Judas

The thing I always found most interesting and obvious about Christianity is how far it's strayed from it's original intent that even irony doesn't do it justice. Who started Christianity as we know it via Roman Catholic Church? A yup... The Romans , who already had a very old, structured and politic...

Re: It’s the reason I don’t carry guns

You’ve proven a valid point, PeterSchnauss—the very reason I generally don’t go in a potential hunt with guns. However, I have my own weapons. Lucky you...alas I have no metaphysical talents (unless screaming like a little girl counts), just a regular schmoe. Going in with a little knowledge, some ...

Re: The Farm Next Door

There are other factors to consider about gunnery....spiritual possession and the authorities. If I was a malevolent spirit, the person or persons I would take control over would be the one(s) with the gun(s). Then let the 'fun' happen. I'm pretty sure I once witnessed a possession and the idea of t...

GW....I wish I had a friend to pick me up. I tripped and wiped out while delivering a bunch of pies Xmas Eve and totally destroyed my shoulder. Can I get some psychic healing? Re: Potatoes

Interesting thread here...never thought that Atlantis, potatoes and cocaine infused mummies could be combined in a single topic. My take on Atlantis is it was probably just a fable, but I knew a Greenlander who made a very compelling arguement that Greenland is/was Atlantis. And it didn't sink, but ...

Re: The Farm Next Door

You actually can check firearms on a flight. Of course, you must still be able to own it in the location you originate from as well as your destination, and there are particular rules the TSA have, etc. I wouldn't worry too much about me. Something tells me packing heat won't be that useful here. G...

Re: The Origins of Vampires

Though I've only met people claiming to be vampires (I can't qualify anyone who LARPS at a coffeehouse as legit), alas I've not actually met anyone...or anything that I would/could classify as a vampire. I've run into what I would consider spiritual evil of a predatory nature, but no fangs or suckag...

Peter, I will add my welcome to Rowan's. She, and others welcomed me when I first joined in. Your music interests are rather . . . loud . . . to say the least. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy loud sometimes myself, but I'm more into folk, folk-rock, 60's rock, etc. About the closest I normally get to H...

Re: Music

Hey there folks. First perusing here and this is the first subject to pique my interest. Music...I like pretty much anything, from punk to polka...but METAL is really what shakes me out of my comfort zone. Loud and aggressive Heavy Metal. The kind that rattles my happy little cage. The kind that att...
