Re: Deathly Nights

I still like 'em well enough. But I always make sure I can see their eyes. And the mask is the first thing I take off when I get the Johns an' Joans alone.

Re: Woman grows horns

Of course, they had to post a pic of her eating something. XD

Woman with horn(s), rotting teeth, eating a slab of raw, unspecified meat. . . are they trying to portray her as a demon?

But more importantly, are they right?

Deathly Nights

You know, sometimes I envy you guys. By the way some of you tell it, you’d think the weird parades down the street for all to see, beating their chests like Tarzan and screaming out their location. It doesn’t work like that here, where the heat settles comfortably in all year round. The Garys and th...

Re: The Man in Blue

Sides are irrelevant. I'd agree. Pa Kelsing showed me a dime. Then he asked me to find "up" on a vertical line. For better or worse, what is done is done. The contract was accepted and fulfilled to the best of my ability. Now that sounds cynical. Coming from a recovering cynic, of course....

Re: The Man in Blue

So hot, cynical and internet savvy to boot. Not to mention still making everything about gender roles. *drools with envy* Wanna talk about fixing? Fixed it for you. And sister, before you think I'm trying to start a fight, let me tell you: I'm not. I'm on your side. You know it's all about gender r...

Re: A Man of Two Tales

Well wolves don't really sneak attack. They prefer to get their prey running so they can wear it down, isolate it from the herd and hit it from multiple sides. So they tend to be noisy and very viable when they attack. Big cats are the quiet ones because they hunt on their own and lack the ability ...

Re: The Man in Blue

I'm just going to say this: when a strange man gives me a present, he wants something in return. Are you your own woman, Nemesis? There. Fixed that for you. Of course, without the blatant sexism, it just sort of comes off as bitter and cynical, doesn't it? Only things need fixing are dogs, cats, an...

Re: A Man of Two Tales

I'm always up for a good bedtime story. But most of the bevies I meet are a bunch of Moes and Mollies. I figure, why give your position away? It's like yelling "SNEAK ATTACK!" right before... well, you know. Attacking. It's no longer a sneak attack, but an announcement of positioning. Then...

Wooden Heads: The Séance

While everyone joined hands as per the instructions of Jane, I was feeling uncomfortable and maybe even a little nauseous. My motto on the dead has always been “let them lie flat and leave ‘em be.” I find the dead to be more trouble than good. The others, however, were very enthusiastic about it all...

Wooden Heads: Egg Rolls and Broken Circles

Almost three weeks, and for what? Nothing. Fish heads and dead ends, that’s all that I’ve found. The favor Pa Kelsing wanted done was both humanitarian and directly in line with what I needed: he wanted these wooden heads removed from the streets. It’s what I always wanted, too. But I’ve learned a l...

Wooden Heads: The Story

“I’m a married man,” the scarred man’s lips puttered grotesquely around the delicate teacup. “But I’m still a man easily swayed by women.” Sip. “No more, though.” Sip. I held back my snort. By the man’s knowing grimace—a crime of brutal ugliness in most cities—the scarred man knew how ridiculous tha...

Wooden Heads

Didn’t expect to be back here so soon, didn’t expect to find so much—or so little. Joys of life. Pa Kelsing, the sweet little shriveled Chinaman supposed to meet me last night, decided to leave me a message, instead. Spent half the night tracking the informant and deciding it was good. Just came out...

Re: Arcane Solutions in Greater New York Area Available

Assuming you can define 'specs' a bit better, perhaps I'd be willing to pretend as well. You're probably not wanting my bust/waist/hip measure measurements, but it'd be nice to know if you mean, say, my CV or my services. What's the ordinary rate you go for, out of pocket expenses to be paid in the...

Not gonna argue the matter, since I can't verify the links on this. I'll be moving my pad over the weekend, so maybe we'll chat about it later. I got that "nugget" from personal experience. I once saw a banger kick this older guy in the head and shout out " For the Jets! " before...

Dunno if I'd trust the wiki pede on anything short of chaotic hearsay by a bunch of randoms. 'specially since this piece of scud I'm on can't even bring up the page you linked. Most gang members make it a point of claiming the crime though, unless it's retaliation. Then it's a matter of evening what...
